Breaking dependence on fossil fuels! Securing Europe's first order for electric conversion of concrete mixer trucks

Can concrete mixers also undergo a "conversion from fuel to electric"? This seemingly novel attempt is making its way onto the international stage.Recently, HATL successfully secured its first order for the conversion of concrete mixers from fuel to electric from a European customer, injecting a brand - new "Chinese impetus" into the energy transformation of European commercial concrete equipment.

In fact, pure - electric concrete mixers are no longer a "new thing" in China. They have been widely deployed at multiple construction sites across the country. Their advantages such as low operating costs, quiet operation, and zero emissions are highly favored by drivers and citizens, gradually becoming the mainstream choice for commercial concrete   transportation.

However, in stark contrast to the booming domestic market, the European commercial concrete market has long been "dominated" by fuel - powered concrete mixers. There are multiple constraints behind this: On the one hand, the European market has deeply ingrained usage habits and industrial chains for fuel - powered commercial concrete equipment, which are difficult to change rapidly in the short term. On the other hand, the high import tariffs on complete vehicles have raised the entry costs for pure - electric models. More importantly, the "three - electric" supply chain related to fuel - to - electric conversion in Europe is not yet perfect, making it difficult to achieve economies of scale. Multiple factors have jointly restricted the development of pure - electric models in this market.

It's no coincidence that the company was able to secure this first European order. Previously, it had successfully completed a case of converting mining trucks from fuel to electric in Europe, accumulating a good reputation through mature technology and reliable services. It was based on the successful experience of converting mining trucks from fuel to electric that HATL's European technical team finally won the trust and facilitated this cooperation.

From the conversion of mining equipment from fuel to electric to that of road equipment, the challenges we face do not come from technology but from the complex policy and regulatory environment in Europe. To this end, HATL cooperated with the customer to actively communicate with the local government, repeatedly discussing compliance - suitable solutions, and finally removed the key obstacles to the project's progress.

Currently, all parties are looking forward to the first concrete mixer converted from fuel to electric by a Chinese enterprise to hit the European roads soon. This is not only an important breakthrough for HATL in expanding its international market but also provides a new path for the energy transformation of the European commercial concrete industry, accelerating the global commercial concrete industry's development towards green and low - carbon.
